So Many People Have it Backwards
"College is a match to be made, not a prize to be won."

Thank you Frank, you are so right, and yet, so many people are out to win the prize of a college acceptance, not the prize of a satisfactory experience or favorable outcome. Those people have it backwards and it costs them in many unsuspecting ways.
- Students attend the wrong school
- Students are unhappy at school
- Parents overpay for the school
- Outcomes for college are compromised
I understand, it's much easier to chase the big name schools than it is to determine the right match of college to student. A lot more goes into finding the right college match than school name and its dubious ranking.
The idea that winning the admission acceptance is the big prize is like saying the SuperBowl is won on the coin toss, which is false. Rather, the prize for college can only be measured by the student's success and ultimate outcome.
In fact, our own success is measured by the college success and outcome of our students. That's the only way it should be.
See you there,
Hans
